Get Your Needlework Professionally Framed
by Someone who Loves Framing
as Much as You Love Stitching!
into each piece of your needlework.
If you’re like other needleworkers, the only thing keeping you from putting ALL your work on display is that nagging feeling that maybe you shouldn’t show off…!
But when you put that much love and effort into your work, it deserves to be up on a wall in pride of place.
If you’ve never had a piece framed before, you probably find it hard to imagine just what a striking difference it can make - it’s a bit like an author finally seeing her novel in print! It’s hard to match the feeling you get when you come in through your front door and the first thing you see is a glorious piece of needlework that you spent weeks, months, or even years getting exactly right.
But framing needlework isn’t like framing pictures
When you decide that you would like to get your work framed, you’re making an important decision. You’re creating an heirloom, if it’s done properly - because a well-framed piece will last for lifetimes.
But a badly or carelessly framed piece can destroy all your hard work…
Needlework, by contrast, has to be handled with a far greater level of care - and sadly, many professional framers simply don’t have the time or patience to do it properly. They’re used to dealing with photographs - and many of them treat needlework in EXACTLY THE SAME WAY. Different forms of needlework also need very different treatments. Bobbin lace, for example, needs to be mounted in a very different way to needlepoint.
And that’s why Framed-in-Stitches.co.uk was born!
My name is Alison Conybeare, and I’m a passionate needleworker. I hope you never suffer the same experiences I did when I was trying to get my needlework framed! I had pieces returned to me in tatters - and one day, I decided that I’d had enough.
If I couldn’t trust picture specialists to frame my needlework properly, I’d do it myself!
Since making that decision, I’ve framed dozens and dozens of my own pieces, as well as work by my family and friends, who quickly realised that you just can’t match the attention to detail you get with a needleworker turned framer…!

the perfect frame
and mount - for FREE!
And because I know how badly traditional framers can let you down just because they don’t understand your needs, I even offer you something for free (I think of it as my way of putting something back into needlework).
Try and get advice, and you’ll most likely end up hearing picture specialists talking about what would suit a watercolour! Which is NOT what YOU need.
Give me a call on 01538 266551 or 07968 340452, or email me at alison@framedinstitches.co.uk and I’ll give you an ENTIRELY free insight into which frames and mounts would work best with your work.
That way, even if you don’t choose to ask me to do the framing for you, you’ll still be armed with a fellow needleworker’s insights into your needs…!
Give me a call now, or e-mail me with all the details about your needlework, and I’ll tell you what the best frames and mounts would be, and I’ll tell you how I reached that decision, so you’ll be able to make an informed choice for yourself in the future.
